How it all started

I know Itziar Ituño watching the series La Casa de Papel (Money Heist), like most of you, I imagine.

I fell in love, first of all, by the great actress I saw, who somehow captivated me a lot while playing the beloved inspector Raquel Murillo.

From then on, I decided to go after learning more about this woman. 🔎

Social Medias, Streaming and fan Club

The first way obviously (or not) was social media. At the time I basically used Facebook and rarely Instagram, where I found her with about 1.8 or 2 million followers, if I'm not mistaken.

I saw that she was relatively active there, she posted pictures and videos of various moments and very interesting and pertinent subjects, she also speake a strange language there, but those are just details hahah (little did I know what was ahead). That's basically how she won my follow.

Since she is an actress, the second recourse was to look for other movies or series of hers on the same platform where I met her: Netflix. Then I met Loreak.

Lourdes, Loreak.
Itziar Ituño as Lourdes

A very beautiful film, I believe everyone should see and appreciate such a poetic work (in my not at all humble opinion). There I also met Errementari, where she acts, but with a minor participation.

Searching on YouTube was like discovering a new world. I found more movies in Spanish - whew! I was delighted with Agujeros en el Cielo and the very cute Elena. I loved discovering "another Rakel" in El Final de La Noche.

However, the most incredible thing I believe was to discover that a legion of fans already existed and was very active! The channels Planeta Ituño and FBI8 are incredible, primordial, and a great place for those who are arriving in this universe, not only in terms of content, but of updates and news. Both allowed me to enter this vast universe that is this woman.

Then, both on YouTube and on Instagram, Facebook and Google, I was discovering more things, understanding who this woman was and becoming more and more enchanted.

Finding the EITB TV channel was, without a doubt, a point of light amidst the darkness of the universe. Goenkale be damned... how could you not fall in love with Nekane! I started watching it unpretentiously and fell in love with the character she has brought to life for so many years.

The music

But wait a minute! This woman sings too, people!

As if her brilliant acting, charisma and friendliness were not enough, I was also fall in love by her great voice. It was almost always in that strange language that I later found out was called Euskera and I started to find it all very interesting.

When I found out that she sang in a rock band I was hallucinated, and even more so when I learned that they had even come to Brazil to perform in São Paulo. For not being so furious with social networks, not understanding much about fan clubs and how the "ituñers" dynamic was, I missed the show for a matter of days! ( I'll never get over it 😞).

But anyway... I watched many videos of the band's performances in various places. I thought the sound was very cool and although I didn't understand any of that language, some songs really touched me like, for example, Ama Landara. This was without a doubt a remarkable song for me and, generally, it is one of the favorite songs of most of the Ingot fans.

Searching and searching I discovered not the lyrics in their literal translations, but the messages and claims that were in everything they did. And so, Ingot Rock also won my follow!

The first time she liked my comment was in a post of one of the band's concerts in Brazil ( I almost didn't freak out, did I? )

The woman and the human being in her

I fell in love by the woman that little by little I understood who she is. Feminist. Strong. Warrior. I found it beautiful to see her fight and support for women in various contexts, always sharing her thoughts and views of this world so centered on capitalism and patriarchy. And so, she won my admiration and support!

I fell in love, finally, by the human being she is. Kind. Sensitive. Humble. She is a delight in the interviews she gives and endowed with an admirable generosity. She has shown to have her feet on the ground, without being carried away by the impositions of the media, by the futilities of contemporaneity, nor being silent before the causes that touch her. And so, she won my heart! ❤️
